LEMONS
Lemon can help keeping blood vessels soft and removes rigidity which helps in reducing blood pressure. Also you can lower your chance of heart failure by consuming lemon juice daily as it contain vitamin C content. Simply drink a cup of warm water with the juice from half a lemon added to it each morning on an empty stomach. For best results, do not add salt or sugar.
GARLIC
Garlic helps in reducing high blood pressure and also reduces cholesterol levels. Several studies have been conducted which have proven the effects of garlic. Garlic also helps in relaxing blood vessels by stimulating the production of nitric oxide and hydrogen sulphide. It is recommended to eat 1 or 2 cloves of slightly crushed garlic every day.
BANANA
Banana is the best fruit that can help controlling high blood pressure if taken regularly. Bananas are rich in potassium that helps in controlling blood pressure. At the same time they are high in sodium and contain no cholesterol, both of which are beneficial for the people suffering from high blood pressure problem. So, try to eat one or two bananas daily.
COCONUT WATER
People suffering from hypertension should keep their body hydrated. 8-10 glasses of water should be taken every day. Coconut water helps in lowering blood pressure. A 2005 study published in the West Indian Medical Journal found that coconut water, being rich in potassium, magnesium and vitamin C can help decrease systolic blood pressure. You can also use coconut oil while cooking.
ONION JUICE
Onions contain antioxidant flavonol called quercetin due to which it is linked with reducing your high blood pressure. You should try eating 1 medium sized raw onion daily. You can also mix one-half teaspoon each of onion juice and honey and take it twice a day for one to two weeks.
HONEY
Honey is quite effective in keeping your blood vessels calm. It can also reduce pressure from the heart. Therefore it is helpful in maintaining your blood pressure. Try taking 2 teaspoons of honey in the morning on empty stomach. You can also mix one teaspoon each of honey and ginger juice with two teaspoons of cumin seed powder. Eat it twice a day.
FENUGREEK SEEDS
Fenugreek seeds are quite effective when it comes to maintaining your blood pressure due to huge amount of potassium and dietary fibre content. Boil one to two teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in water for about two minutes, and then strain it. Put the seeds in a blender and mix it into a paste. Try this paste twice a day, once in the morning on an empty stomach and once in the evening.
