12 Things You Should Never Say in Public About Your Health

There are many times when it is important to talk about your conditions by blogging in order to bring awareness. And awareness is what breaks ignorance. However, there is a way about going about it and there is a way not to go about it. Writing blog posts or conducting speeches about a condition that you have such as an autoimmune condition must be done in a way that will educate others.

12 Things You Should Never Say in Public About Your Health

However, when it comes to randomly making announcements about your health in public, that is not always appropriate. Let’s go over 12 things to not say about your health in public.

#12 – ‘I Am Healthy Because I Do —‘

If you are healthy, consider yourself lucky. You don’t need to tell the world about it because it makes it appear as if you are boasting about having good health due to doing something ‘right’. Some people have chronic conditions that are of no fault of their own. By talking about how healthy you are because you do something will only upset others who have no control over their health. All they can do is their best and they don’t want to hear that type of talk.

#11 – ‘Oh My, I Have Not Have Time To Shower For Days’

It is understandable that life gets in the way to the point that sometimes hopping into the shower is not an option. However, there is never a need to tell the world about it. They will only see you as dirty and some may even throw a bottle of dry shampoo at you.

#10 – ‘I Am So Lucky I Can Eat What I Want’

Good for you. There are many people who are not so fortunate and have to watch their diets carefully. Some may be diabetic and others may have a very slow metabolism which means they have to be very careful with what they eat. When you announce that, you are rubbing it in their faces. And if they have a craving for something sugary and they know they have to fight it off, by making that announcement is not helpful.

#9 – ‘I AM Not Vaccinated’

Vaccination has been a hot topic and if you refuse to get vaccinated for religious reasons or it is against your beliefs, then keep it to yourself. Even if you have a legitimate reason to not get vaccinated such as it poses a health risk. The only time you can discuss it is if you have to tell an employer or a health care professional. But otherwise, you are going to just put yourself into a war zone.

#8 – ‘We Are Struggling Sexually’

The only time it is appropriate to talk about sexual problems is after finding a solution, and your partner is on board about you writing a blog to help people about it. However, otherwise, don’t talk about it in public. Your partner is the one who will get embarrassed and it is not anyone’s business except for the doctor’s.
