Do you wear glasses and do you struggle with them fogging up when you are wearing a mask? The droplets as you exhale will go upward and into your glasses which is how the fogging happens. And that is ultimately annoying when your glasses are fogged up and you cannot see where you are going.
Fortunately, there are methods you can utilize to keep your glasses from fogging up. Let’s go over 7 of those now.
Tuck a small tissue into the mask
Newsweek says attaching a small tissue to the inside of the mask will absorb moisture that otherwise would find its way to the lenses.
The publication recommends placing a folded tissue at the top of your mask and taping it there.
Wash Your Glasses With Soapy Water Before Putting The Mask On
Whether you are wearing glasses or sunglasses, the fog that you deal with on them when you wear a mask is quite annoying. And the way to combat this is to wash your lenses in soapy water first before putting your mask on. You can allow them to air dry or use a microfiber cloth to dry off. The glasses won’t fog up when you put them on with a face mask. The soap water leaves a thin film on the lenses that will prevent it from happening which is why.
Keep The Mask Sealed
Take a piece of double-sided tape and place it across the bridge of your nose first, and then put your face mask on. This will create a seal that will prevent the air from going up to your glasses as you breathe out.
The Mask Needs To Fit Properly
Quite often people will wear masks that don’t fit correctly, and if the mask is ill-fitting, it will cause the air to leak out quicker and fog up your glasses. You will want to look for masks that feature pieces that are moldable around the nose like a metal strip. And masks do come in various sizes.
Get Some Defogging Products
There are plenty of defogging sprays, gels, and waxes you can try to wash your lenses with before placing the mask on. Some work better than others, it depends on your body chemistry. But never use products that are anti-fogging for cars.
